Pakistan’s two top religio-political parties have opposed the Aurat March planned on International Women’s Day (March 8).

Jamiat Ulema-i-Islam (JUI-F) chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman blasting the Aurat March said, “Aurat March is vulgarity.”

The Maulana said, “Islam doesn’t allow such kind of vulgarity that is being planned for Aurat March”.

Talking to media persons in Multan Thursday, Maulana Fazl remarked: “Western and secular agenda is being imposed on Pakistan by using women march.”

The JUI-F chief said less than one percent Pakistani women are supporters of Aurat March and surely they could not represent other 99 percent women who are in favour of Islamic values.

Jamaat-i-Islami Senator Sirajul Haq also opposed the Aurat March, saying it does not conform with our values.
