The legal team of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan failed to file a protective bail application in the Lahore High Court as security staff of the building disallowed them to enter the premises as no official was inside there due to a holiday on Sunday.
According to the 24News HD TV channel, Imran Khan's legal team including Fawad Chaudhry and Azhar Saddique reached outside the LHC but the security guards did not allow them to enter the premises as there is no officer or staff is present on duty.

Imran Khan's lawyer Azhar Siddique tried to give the bail application to the High Court security staff but failed as the security staff refused to receive it by saying that they are not authorized for this purpose.
Later, the PTI's legal team including Fawad Chaudhry and Shaukat Basra left the LHC without filing the petition for the protective bail of Imran Khan.
As per the report, PTI has made the Islamabad Ramna Police Station SHO a party in the petition as a case was registered against former Prime Minister Imran Khan under several provisions including anti-terrorism.
PTI Chairman Imran Khan Sunday decided to knock on the door of the Lahore High Court (LHC) for protective bail and his legal team has prepared the petition in this regard.
The well-placed sources in the PTI said Imran Khan's lawyers will file the petition for getting a protective bail in Lahore High Court today.
Earlier today, The Islamabad Police led by SP City Hussain Tahir on Sunday delivered an arrest notice at former prime minister Imran Khan’s Zaman Park residence and left, while IG Islamabad said that the next phase would be to arrest the PTI chief for his persistent absences from Toshakhana court hearings.

Officers from Islamabad arrived at Imran Khan's home in Lahore, which was surrounded by hundreds of his supporters, but were unable to find him.

"A team of Islamabad police has arrived in Lahore to arrest Imran Khan to comply with the court orders," Islamabad police said in a tweet.

The arrest warrant was issued after Imran failed to appear before the court in the Toshakhana case on February 28.

He is accused of failing to declare gifts received during his time in office, or the profit made from selling them.

The SP City said that he showed an arrest warrant at Imran’s Zaman Park residence and delivered a notice about his arrest.

The notice was received by PTI leader Shibli Faraz.

SHO Secretariat Police Station Islamabad Nadeem Tahir was present outside Imran’s Zaman Park residence with a heavy contingent of police. A police van was also present there with Inspector Nadeem Tahir.

IG Islamabad Dr Akbar Nasir said that the law was equal for all. The court had issued orders to arrest the PTI chief. He said police had to produce Imran before the court on March 7. The first phase was to convey notice to Imran Khan and the second one would be to arrest him. He said any attempt to obstruct the execution of court orders will be dealt with sternly.

Meanwhile, Lahore police were gathering around Zaman Park. Police have ordered iron fences. On the other hand, PTI workers were also converging on Zaman Park.

An additional force of Lahore police has been alerted. Personnel of the Anti-riot Force were ready at Police Lines Qila Gujja Singh. The water cannon was ready for the purpose.
