A mobile thief was caught red-handed and beaten up on Sunday by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) supporters outside the residence of PTI Chairman Imran Khan at Zaman Park in Lahore.
According to the 24NewsHD TV channel, the Islamabad Police along with their Punjab police counterparts raided Zaman Park to take Imran Khan into custody for his persistent absences from Toshakhana court hearings.
Hundreds of PTI workers and supporters gathered at Zaman Park in a bid to thwart Imran Khan’s expected arrest.
Meanwhile, some workers arrested a suspect who was trying to steal a cell phone from the pocket of an activist. The arrested accused was thrashed and handed over to the police for further action.
