The Islamabad High Court’s bench hearing the appeals against the conviction of the Deputy Commissioner and SSP Operations in contempt of court for issuance of MPO orders against Shahryar Khan Afridi was split, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Tuesday.

In this regard, Chief Justice Amir Farooq remarked that one of our judges does not want to hear this case and a new bench will be formed to hear the appeals.

Earlier, Justice Babar Sattar awarded sentence to Deputy Commissioner Irfan Nawaz Memon of six months imprisonment and a fine of Rs100000.

On the other hand SSP Operations Jameel Zafar was also awarded sentence of four months imprisonment and a fine of Rs100000.

SHO Nasir Manzoor was sentenced to two months imprisonment and a fine of Rs100000.
