Earlier, the Registrar’s office raised objection saying the petitioner did not approach the relevant forum and declared the petition inadmissible.

Justice Shahid Bilal Hasan heard the petition of citizen Mashkoor Hussain.

In the application, the Federal Government Election Commission, Sadiq Sanjrani and others were made parties.

The petitioner took plea in his application that Sadiq Sanjrani contested the election on the provincial assembly seat of Balochistan.

Sadiq Sanjrani won the election and Election Commission also issued the notification of success.

Sadiq Sanjrani cannot hold two seats at the same time, the text of application says.

Sadiq Sanjrani is illegally acting as Chairman Senate and court order to stop him from working him as Chairman Senate, stance of the applicant.

It was requested in petition that the court order the Election Commission to declare Sadiq Sanjrani's seat as a senator vacant.
