Kh Asif lashes out at govt on petrol price spike, ‘secret pact’

PML-N leader and former foreign minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif criticising the petrol price hike demanded an open debate on inflation, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

He was speaking in the National Assembly on point of order.

Khawaja Asif said that bills should be introduced against the inflated prices of flour and sugar.

The PML-N leader also demanded to present the secret pact with the religious party in the parliament. He said the public should be apprised about the secret pact.

Khawaja Asif predicted these shorts of governments would not complete its term and they are ‘unnatural.

He claimed that the incumbent government has not been serving people’s interests.

Asif said that India subsidized petrol in a midnight notification, however, Pakistan increased prices.  

Opposition parties’ members record their protest against the petrol recent per liter price hike of petrol. MNA from opposition benches hold placards inscribed with slogans against the incumbent government. 

National Assembly Deputy Speaker Qasim Khan Soori chaired the NA session.

PMLN Rana Tanveer Hussain highlighted the lack of quorum when Qasim Suri gave the mic to PMLQ MNA Akram Cheema.

National Assembly session has been adjourned to meet again on Monday, the 8th November 2021 at 6:00 p.m.
