Former human rights minister Dr Shireen Mazari has said ex-premier Imran Khan did not criticize the military and its leadership in Faisalabad, 24NewsHD TV channel reported.

Taking to Twitter, the PTI leader stated: “With utmost respect, Imran Khan's statement was clearly explained through our leadership's tweets and Fawad Chaudhry's presser.

“Imran Khan referred to the army chief in the statement because the corrupt PML-N and PPP have always played politics on the armed forces from Memogate to Dawn Leaks. ISPR's statement was so unnecessary.

“Sadly, the press statement is of concern because it seems to have misunderstood what Imran Khan said despite clarifications and at a time when PDM is deliberately distorting his statement to target him.”
