The happy moments took a nightmarish turn for Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf’s MPA Asad Khokhar whose brother got killed when assailants attacked the walima ceremony of Asad’s son, reported 24NewsHD TV Channel Friday.

Asad Khokhar, a previous minister for fisheries, was just re-inducted into the cabinet of Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar.

Punjab CM Usman Buzdar was also attending the walima ceremony of Asad Khokhar’s son Hussain Khokhar and the firing incident took place soon after he departed the venue.

Asda Khkhar’s brother Mubashar Khokhar got severely injured during the firing and was later succumbed to his injuries.

According to reports, the attackers succeeded despite a strong security presence and the old enmity has been supposed behind the incident. The police have arrested the attacker identified as Nazim.

However, Pm Spokesperson Dr Shahbaz Gill in a Twitter message said the incident took close to the vehicle of Punjab CM Buzdar and he remained unhurt in the incident and has reached his residence.

According to Gill, it was CM’s security who overpowered the attacker and arrested him. However, unfortunately, Asad Khkhar’s brother Mubashar Khokhar was killed in the incident.
