Federal Minister for Planning and Development and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Ahsan Iqbal has said that general elections would become controversial if held on the basis of the old census, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Tuesday.

The minister said general elections will be conducted in October 2023 after a fresh national census. He said that nation has rejected former premier Imran Khan and his fake narrative in local bodies elections held in Azad Kashmir.

He said that the administration of Punjab was ruined badly during the tenure of Usman Buzdar as its chief minister. There is an environment of bribery in entire Punjab, he added.  The minister said that why no one is questioning Imran Khan. “Why Imran Khan is unable to bear an umpire that is becoming neutral,” he questioned. He said that Imran doesn’t like the neutral narrative of the establishment.
