Yasmin Rashid set to implement 21 uplift schemes in her constituency

Metropolitan Corporation initiates process of tendering 21 development schemes: Construction of streets, roads, sewage system, water supply projects top priority

Despite the probability of the dissolution of the Punjab Assembly, MPAs are striving to beat each other in the completion of development schemes in their respective constituencies and Punjab Health Minister Dr Yasmin Rashid seems to be ahead of all, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Tuesday.

Whether the Punjab Assembly is dissolved or not, it has been decided to release Rs1 billion worth of funds to complete 21 development schemes in the constituency of Dr Yasmin. The metropolitan corporation has started the process of tendering 21 development schemes.

The Planning and Development (P&D) Department will release the funds for the development schemes. The P&D has issued directives to the Finance Department to issue Rs720 million, whereas, the case of releasing Rs280 million – for development schemes in the constituency of Dr Yasmin – is pending in the local government.

The development schemes will be completed with a special grant from the Punjab government. Dr Yasmin approved the funds through Local Government which will be utilised in NA-125 to construct streets and roads, sewage system and water supply projects. The Metropolitan Corporation will issue the work order after receiving Rs720 million.
