Govt decides to change KP IGP

In view of the rise in the incidents of terrorism in the province, following the change of chief secretary, the federal government has decided to change the inspector general of Police (IGP) of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Moazzam Jah Ansari as well, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Monday.  

Sources told 24News that two names belonging to the province were under consideration for the position. 

They further disclosed that the Establishment Division had been asked to submit three names for the post. 

These three people are: DIG Akhtar Hayat Gandapur, Saeed Wazir and Muhammad Rifaat. 

Muhammad Rifaat belongs to Punjab while Saeed Wazir is currently serving as inspector general of police, Gilgit-Baltistan.
