IG Islamabad Police replaced

The federal government on Wednesday appointed Qazi Jameel-ur-Rehman as new Inspector General (IG) Islamabad Police who replaced Amir Zulfiqar Khan, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

The Establishment Division notified the appointment and transfer of both the officers, the TV channel reported.

Earlier in the day, IG Islamabad Muhammad Amir Zulfiqar Khan chaired a meeting and reviewed the overall crime in the Islamabad district. 

In the meeting, IG Islamabad expressed his displeasure over the recent crime incidents and inquired from DIG Operations about it and directed to improve the working of Islamabad Police.
