Pakistan’s internationally-acclaimed religious scholar Mufti Taqi Usmani has issued a fatwa against the Indian atrocities in Indian Occupied Valley and has said that it is incumbent on Muslims to thwart Indian conspiracy and duty of all Muslim countries that India's nefarious intentions should not succeed to change the demography of IOK.

“Selling of Kashmiri land to Indian Hindus is equal to treason with the people of Kashmir,” Mufti Usmani said in his fatwa posted on his Twitter account.

Taqi Usmani said that India wanted to convert Muslim majority into a minority. He said that the Holy Quran and the Sunnah are very clear that selling out anything to infidel that may be used against the interests of Muslims is a sin and treason.

He issued the fatwa in response to a question from a person named Abdullah, “Is it lawful as per Sharia law for a Kashmiri Muslim to sell its land to an Indian Hindu. The questioner also cited Israeli illegal settlements on the Palestine land in the question and said now the next unlawful practice is being practised in Indian Occupied Kashmir (IOK).

Pakistan Foreign Office had already strongly condemned and rejected the Indian government’s sinister design to change the demography of Indian Occupied Kashmir (IOK) through new domicile law.

The FO spokesperson said that voices from around the world continue to condemn the inhuman oppression of the people of Kashmir and discrimination against minority communities in India.
