Federal Investigation Agency FIA has decided to take action against freelancers with fake accounts on freelancing sites, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Wednesday.

According to sources illegal account holders on Amazon and other freelancing sites will be prosecuted and in this regard, FIA Cybercrime Circle started collecting data on complaints.

Earlier, FIA received complaints from various countries and organizations against fake accounts, sources said.

They said freelancing is being done on various websites by creating fake accounts and freelancers with fake accounts are also involved in illegal activities.

A large number of illegal accounts are operating from Mian Chanu, Sahiwal.

Sources further said that the FIA also gathered information from other law enforcement agencies about such illegal accounts.

Direct action will be taken against accounts with illegal activities on the report of law enforcement institutions, sources concluded.
