Another attack on Lakki Marwat police station beaten back

There was no let-up in targeting of police facilities in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa by terrorists as another police station was attacked late Sunday night, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Monday.

An unspecified number of terrorists armed with heavy weapons attacked Peezo Police Station in Lakki Marwat but they met with stiff resistance from the police jawans.

The terrorists after failing to penetrate into the police station retreated and fled away into the darkness.

Only police station’s gate was damaged in the firing by the terrorists.

No loss of life was reported from any side.

Meanwhile, a man was shot dead by unknown gunmen in Pindigheb area of Attock.

The attackers targeted Sardar Azhar spraying bullets at him. He received bullets in his chest and arms.

Sardar Azhar was rushed to a hospital in Pindigheb from where he was referred to Rawalpindi where he succumbed to his injuries.
