Sindh disallows grant for second marriage of police officers

Sindh government Wednesday announced not to release any grant for the police officers for their second marriage, 24News HD TV Channel reported.

While the government has also increased the amount of the ‘marriage grant’ for the police officers’ children up to Rs75,000.

According to the Additional Inspector General (AIG) Sindh Police Ali Mardan, the bachelor police officers could also get the same grant for their own (first) marriage.

The AIG Sindh Police said that the marriage grant for police personnel and officers had been increased from Rs50,000 to Rs 75,000.

He said that now the police officers and personnel could get a grant of Rs75,000 for the marriage of a son and a daughter.
