Prime Minister Imran Khan’s order to appoint assistant superintendents of police (ASPs) as station house officers (SHOs) in the federal capital is still to be implemented despite the passage of one year, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Sunday.

Keeping in view the ever-increasing public complaints, the prime minister directed for the appointment of ASPs as SHOs.

The Islamabad Police have so far been able to appoint only three ASPs in police stations but they are not performing the duties as SHOs.

The police officials, when contacted by the TV channel, said not a single ASP is ready to work on a lower post.

Saddam Mangat reported this news for 24NewsHD TV.
