Bilawal appeals to Christian community to support PPP

Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari Monday appealed to the Christian community to support PPP as minorities were neglected in the sitting government.
According to the 24News HD TV channel, a special delegation of the Christian community met with the PPP chairman in Multan and discussed the issues facing by minorities in the country.
Talking to the delegation, Bilawal said that during the PPP’s last regime, a special quota for minorities was allocated in the country but afterward the minorities had been neglected during the successor governments.
The PPP chairman appealed to the Christian community to support the PPP in its struggle for the development of the country. Bilawal said that his party had elected a Christian from Sindh as a Member of the Provincial Assembly and another as a Senator.
The representatives of the Christian community thanked Bilawal for speaking out for the minorities’ issues as a strong voice of the country.
Bilawal was accompanied by PPP Minority General Secretary Naveed Amir Jeeva.
Bishop Leo Paul, Ayyub Sajid, Sohrab Younis, Farid Yaqub Farooq, Javed Gurdas, Father Rafael, Pastor Fahim Shehzad, Salamat Bhatti, Raheel Anjum, Samuel Sardar, Nazir Masih, Zeeshan, Mubashar Nawab, Shehzad George, Emmanuel Tasleem, Oriel George, and Zaeem Sajid were also among those who met the party chairman.
