Dollar goes more 20 paisas up against Pak rupee

The US dollar Monday gained more value against the Pakistani rupee and reached the highest exchange rate of Rs168.10.

According to the 24News HD TV channel, in the open market, the US dollar price had gone up by 20 paisas.

While the dollar rose 33 paisas to Rs 167.23 in the interbank market, the report said adding that some other currencies also followed the dollar and got value against the rupee.

In the open market on Monday, the British pound rose by 50 paisas to Rs232.50, Emirati dirham 20 paisas to Rs46, and Saudi riyal15 paisas to Rs44.70.

On the other hand, investors in the stock market were cautious on the first day of the business week so the index lost 38 points and closed at 46,918 on Monday.
