Pakistan cricket team opener Fakhar Zaman slammed his sixth ODI ton, his second in a row on Wednesday while playing against South Africa at Centurion.

The left-hand batsman played an ODI knock for the ages against South Africa in Johannesburg last week Sunday, where he scored 193 runs in 155 balls before being run out in the last over: breaking the record for the highest score in an ODI innings when batting second.

His performance catapulted him up to 7 places to the 12th in the MRF Tyres ICC Men’s ODI Player Rankings for batsmen.

His second back-to-back ton means nay help him break into Top 10 ODI batsmen in the iCC rankings.

Earlier, Fakhar single-handedly took Pakistan past Proteas’ total of 341 runs in the second ODI and created a couple of world records.

Fakhar holds the record for the highest individual score in ODIs while chasing, beating Shane Watson’s 185, which came against Bangladesh in 2011.

The Pakistan opener's 193 is also the second-highest ODI score against South Africa, behind Sachin Tendulkar's 200* in 2010.

With two 150-plus scores in ODI cricket for Zaman, the first Pakistan player with multiple such scores in this format.

His 193 against South Africa is the third highest ODI score for Pakistan. Zaman scored 132 runs in boundaries alone, the most in an ODI innings for Pakistan, surpassing the 126 boundary runs during his 210* against Zimbabwe in 2018.
