Pakistan include Fakhar in T20 squad; Zahid replaces Shadab for Zimbabwe tour

Wrist spinner Zahid Mahmood has been named as Shadab Khan’s replacement for the three-match T20I series against Zimbabwe, which will be played from 21-25 April in Harare.

Meanwhile, inform batsman Fakhar Zaman will stay with the side for the T20Is in South Africa and Zimbabwe.

Fakhar was only named in the ODI squad on the base of his T20 form that shows the ability and seriousness of the Pakistan Cricket Board and its selection committee headed by Muhammad Wasim.

Fakhar is currently in sublime form as he scored a record-breaking 193 runs innings in the second ODI loss to South Africa and then hit a back-to-back second century against the same opponent the third ODI.

Zahid was originally named in the two-Test squad against Zimbabwe, while Fakhar was initially named for the ODIs.

Both the changes were approved by the national selection committee on the request of the team management.
