Schedule announced for admissions in medical and dental colleges

Pakistan Medical Commission has announced the schedule of admissions into the private and government medical and dental colleges, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Monday.

Pakistan Medical Commission will announce the results of MDCAT test on December 16, 2020.

The admissions in private medical and dental colleges will be opened on December 17, 2020, while the admissions for government’s medical and dental colleges will start from December 21.

The last date to submit the admission forms in government medical and dental colleges is December 31, 2020.

For government medical colleges the merit will be calculated on the basis of 10% of matriculation marks, 40% of F.Sc. marks and 50% of entry tests marks.

The first merit list of the government medical and dental colleges will be displayed on January 14, 2021.

For admission in private medical and dental colleges, the last date to apply is January 11, 2020. The private medical and dental colleges will display their merit lists on January 15, 2020.

The central merit list for the private medical and dental colleges will consist of 80percent on the basis of marks obtained while 20% will be given on the basis of interviews.

The private medical and dental colleges will conduct their own interviews and would finalize the final merit after weighing the 20% of interview marks in the overall merit.
