Fawad Ch visits Sri Lankan HC; regrets Sialkot incident

Federal Minister for Information Fawad Chaudhry has called on Sri Lankan High Commissioner to Pakistan Mohan Vijay Vikrama and expressed regret over the lynching of a Sri Lankan citizen by a mob in Sialkot, reported 24NewsHD TV on Tuesday.

During his visit to the Sri Lankan Embassy in Islamabad, Fawad has informed the Lankan envoy regarding the steps taken by the government after the Sialkot tragedy.

Fawad said that the accused involved were arrested.

The Sri Lankan envoy expressed satisfaction over the steps taken by the government of Pakistan in lynching case. The tragedy will not affect the relations between the two countries, said the Sri Lankan ambassador.
