17 feared drowned as coaster plunges into river in Kohistan

Seventeen people feared drowned as their Coaster plunged into a river in Upper Kohistan in Mansehra, reported 24NewsHD Tv Channel.

According to details, a NATCO coaster having 17 passengers on board plunged into a river at Pani Bah area in Upper Kohistan on Monday while negotiating a dangerous bend.

The ill-fated passengers belonged to the same family and hailed from Khainer Thalpan in Chilas.

DPO Kohistan said that all people boarding the coaster were feared dead. The rescue team fished out dead body of a woman. The body was shifted to the RHC, Dasu for post mortem.  

The DCO said children and women were also travelling in the coaster. The police said the fast flow of river water was impeding the rescue operation.
