Govt reports already declared DS Railways Sukkur ‘mentally unfit’

A government report has already declared Divisional Superintendent (DS) Sukkur Mian Tariq Latif as ‘mentally unfit’, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

Senior General Manager (SGM) Nisar Memon wrote many letters to the Railways Minister but Mian Tariq was not removed from his post.

In a report compiled after the accident of Karachi Express at Mando Vadero, it was maintained that DS Railways must not give any operational duty in future.

It was also revealed in the report that it was against the rules to appoint a grade 19 officer to the post of Divisional Superintendent (DS) Railways.

A tragic train accident occurred in the wee hours on Monday near Gotki that killed 42 people. Railways Minister Azam Swati reached the accident site and ordered an immediate inquiry report.
