National Assembly Speaker Asad Qaiser called on Punjab Assembly Speaker Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi in Lahore on Monday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

Speaking on the occasion, Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi said that strong institutions played an important part in the country’s development.

He said the armed forces of Pakistan were the symbol of courage and valour.

He further said that in democracies people’s issues were resolved on a priority basis.

Punjab Assembly speaker was of the view that frequent exchange of delegations between the assemblies of the same country was must for strengthening democracy and parliament.

Pervaiz said that improving the living standards of the poor and middle-class families was the Punjab government’s mission.

Praising Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi’s stint as Punjab chief minister, the NA speaker, on the occasion, said that his era was unparalleled.

Asad Qaiser told Pervaiz that MNAs from Punjab frequently eulogized the development works he had started during his tenure as Punjab CM. “Particularly, Rescue 112 is doing a great job,” the NA speaker appreciated.

Later, Pervaiz took the visitor on a round of the newly constructed building of the Punjab Assembly.
