The price of gold Tuesday witnessed a big increase as the US dollar rockets to a historic high against the Pakistani rupee, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

The price of per tola gold surged by Rs1250 per tola. 

With this increase, the price of per tola gold reached Rs143,250.

According to Sindh Sarafa Bazar Association, the price of 10-gram gold reached has also spiked by Rs1072.

The 10-gram gold is now available at Rs122,814.

In the international market, the price of gold per ounce increased by $5. The international rate for gold per ounce has now reached $1849.
