Govt to sign agreement with Iran for additional 100MW electricity, says Ahsan Iqbal

Planning Minister Ahsan Iqbal Tuesday said an agreement with Iran for an additional 100 MW of power for Makran will be signed soon, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

Addressing a news conference, Ahsan Iqbal went on to say by giving 100 MW more to Makran will alleviate power shortage.

Ahsan Iqbal said the Iranian ambassador has assured that the project of additional power will be approved for Makran.

Ahsan Iqbal said in the development budget, funding has been given to Balochistan’s structure, adding that the slum areas progress with the construction of roads.

Ahsan Iqbal said the development of big projects would be continued, adding that the pace of CPEC would be intensified.

Ahsan Iqbal went on to say the Diamer Basha dam’s project of Rs900b has been approved.

The project of the University of Gwadar will be completed within two years, said Ahsan Iqbal.
