Two sisters killed by cousins over marriage feud

Two teenage sisters were strangled to death by their cousins for rejecting their wedding proposal. Police arrested the culprits.

According to details, accused Waqas and Ishtiaq wanted to tie knot with their cousins Sajjal, 17, and Hijab, 14, hailing from village Ruriana of Sangla Hill district Nankana Sahib.

However, the two sisters rejected the wedding proposals of their cousins over wide age difference.

Annoyed over the situation, the culprits barged into the residence of their cousins, strangled to death both girls and fled the scene.

The bodies were shifted to hospital where they were handed over to heirs after postmortem.

The police arrested both culprits who admitted the crime and the police after registering a case against them started an investigation.
