Federal Minister for Information Marriyum Aurangzeb said on Tuesday that Imran would be arrested the day he appeared in the court, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

She said whenever Imran saw police, he ran for cover.

Despite the fact, the minister said, the PTI chief was running a campaign against the state institutions, nobody was there to question him for that.

She accused Imran of using women and children, sitting outside his Zaman Park residence in Lahore, as a human shield.

Later, in a tweet, Marriyum taunted how strange it was that a man (Imran), who hides himself whenever he saw police, was fit enough to lead an election rally.

Calling Imran a thief and a foreign agent, she lashed out at him for not appearing in the court today despite the fact that non-bailable arrest warrants had been issued for him. “Both the suspect and his legal team are absent, and the court is waiting for them,” the minister said, adding, “Imran is neither truthful nor honest.”
