LHC issues notices to FIA DG, IG Punjab on contempt of court

Lahore High Court has issued notices to Director General of Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) and Inspector General of Police Punjab seeking reply in contempt of court petition, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Thursday.

The court has ordered DG FIA and IG Punjab to submit their reply on March 25.

Justice Ali Baqir Najafi heard the petition of British-born Pakistani Syed Mudassar Ali who took plea in his application that DG FIA and IG Punjab ignored the court orders and are liable for contempt of court.

DG FIA Ahmed Ishaq Jahangir and IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar were made a party in the petition.
