The pardon begged by Zahir Jaffer, main accused in the murder of ex-Pakistan envoy’s daughter Noor Mukadam, failed to move the court in Islamabad on Thursday which deferred his indictment in the case until October 14, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

Additional Sessions Judge Ata Rabbani fixed the date for indictment in the presence of all the six accused.

During the hearing, Zahir implored family of the victim to forgive him, saying he wanted to come to the rostrum to say something.

But Judge Rabbani told him he would also be listened to, but at the right time – during the trial.

Noor Mukadam, former Pakistan’s envoy Shaukat Mukadam’s daughter, had been brutally murdered by Zahir Jaffer a few months back when the former refused to marry him.

Noor’s throat was slit open with a sharp-edged weapon in Islamabad’s F4 area in the precincts of Kohisar police station. Her killer Zahir Jaffer was arrested at the scene of the crime.

The incident had sent waves of shock across the nation, which demanded swift justice for the victim girl.
