Police in Peshawar on Friday registered an FIR against 213 protesting primary teachers, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

Sections related to interference in official duty, resorting to firing and throwing stones at police personnel and causing damage to public property were inserted in the FIR registered against the teachers who had been taken into custody last night (Thursday).

SSP operations, DSP city and an SHO Kotwali police station had been injured when they were pelted with stones by the teachers, members of All Primary Teachers, during their protest yesterday.

The teachers had blocked the assembly chowk for traffic to press the government for the acceptance of their demands related to cuts in the name of pension reforms and upgradation.
