Government issues fund to Utility Stores to supply flood victims with basic grocery items

The Government decided to issue grocery funds to Utility Stores for flood victims and a summary will be presented to ECC for approval, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Wednesday.

According to the sources, the Utility Stores will be given funds for supplying grocery bags to the flood victims. The summary to release the funds will be submitted to the Economic Coordination Committee for approval.

The Federal government will bear the expenses of the funds for this flood relief activity in the Southern Punjab and so will the Sindh government for the aid of Sindh flood victims.

The sources said that one hundred and thirteen thousand grocery bags will be supplied amongst the flood affected of Punjab and three hundred and forty-five thousand bags will be supplied in Sindh.

Utility stores are supplying the flood victims with 12 basic grocery items in the bags.
