Parvez calls all party advisory committee meeting on coronavirus

Punjab Assembly Chaudhry Speaker Parvez Elahi has called a meeting of the All-Party Advisory Committee to curb the spread of the coronavirus.

The meeting of the All-Party Advisory Committee will be conducted via video-link tomorrow (Thursday) and it will be convened by the Speaker himself.

Leaders from Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N), Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf, Pakistan People’s Party and Independent parliamentarians will take part in the meeting. The 11-member committee will review measures taken by the government to mitigate the effects of the coronavirus and ways to overcome it.

In a statement, Chaudhry Parvez Elahi said that fulfilling the economic needs of the people should be the foremost priority of the government and all political parties should avoid the blame game and slinging mud at each other in this sensitive time.
