Prime Minister Imran Khan does not seem to be bowed down in the face of his obvious defeat in tomorrow’s no-confidence move, as he is holding a bevy of meetings today (Friday) to deliberate on the situation arising out of the historic Supreme Court verdict which restored the National Assembly and federal cabinet and ordered for the reconvening of assembly session for voting on the no-trust motion, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

The premier held a meeting with his legal team in which they reviewed legal points involved in the Supreme Court verdict. The meeting participants were also briefed about other legal affairs.

Later, Prime Minister Khan would preside over a special meeting of the federal cabinet in which the members would discuss the ‘threat letter’ and hold counsel over future strategy in this regard.

The PM will also preside over the political committee meeting of his party at 1pm in which they would discuss current political situation and the premier will hold consultation with the party leaders on next elections.

The prime minister will chair a meeting of parliamentary committee at PM House at 3pm today.

After that, Prime Minister Imran Khan will address the nation in the evening and apprise the people of the current political situation.

In his tweet on Thursday, the premier told the nation about his address today.

Imran has not lost, will make important announcement today: Faisal Javed

On the other hand, PTI Senator Faisal Javed in his tweet has said that contrary to opposition’s claim that Imran Khan has lost, in fact Khan has not lost. He said the prime minister will make an important announcement in his address today (Friday) saying he will never disappoint his people.

Mr Javed tweeted: “Imran Khan is facing challenges - apparently the opposition thinks he (sic) has won but he is not – he has lost - sweets then lost - words will be remembered - time will tell. The captain will make an important announcement this evening - he will never disappoint his people.”
