Pakistan set England a target of 277 runs to win the first cricket Test being played in Manchester.

Resuming play on fourth day Saturday, Pakistan who were 137 for eight on Friday night were bundled out for 169 runs, giving a target of 277 runs to the hosts to win the match.

Yasir Shah was the top-scorer in Pakistan’s second innings by hitting 33 runs including a huge six off Chris Broad over midwicket.

On Friday also, Yasir Shah took three wickets after lunch as Pakistan dismissed England for 219 to tighten their control of the first Test on the third day at Old Trafford on Friday.

The leg-spinner ripped through England's middle and lower order with a burst of three wickets for four runs in 27 balls on his way to figures of 4-66 in 18 overs.

England, who had been 159-5 at lunch in their first innings, lost their last five wickets after the break for 60 runs.

Meanwhile, Ollie Robinson will join the England squad ahead of next week's second Test against Pakistan at Southampton, the England and Wales Cricket Board announced Saturday.

The uncapped fast bowler was due to play for Sussex in their Bob Willis Trophy match against Kent at Canterbury but has been withdrawn from that fixture.

He will now join up with the Test squad in their bio-secure 'bubble' at Hampshire's Ageas Bowl headquarters on Monday.

Robinson was a member of the England squad at the start of the West Indies series last month, a campaign England won 2-1, and took eight wickets against Hampshire in the first round of county action.

The first Test between England and Pakistan is currently in progress at Old Trafford.

Pakistan will start Saturday's fourth day on 137-8 in their second innings, a lead of 244 runs.
