Indoor wedding events banned in four Punjab cities

Ban on the wedding ceremonies in four high-risk cities of the province of Punjab including Lahore, Faisalabad, Rawalpindi and Multan would be started from Monday, August 9.

According to the 24News HD TV channel report on Sunday, Punjab government had amended its restrictions policy and relaxed the above-mentioned cities for holding indoor ceremonies.

So now a complete ban on indoor wedding ceremonies in four high-risk districts of Punjab would be imposed from Monday that would continue till August 31, 2021.

Anyhow, outdoor events in the said four cities were allowed to be held with 400 people under strict implementation on the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

Apart from in these four districts, indoor wedding ceremonies are allowed under SOPs in all other districts

Earlier, Usman Buzdar government in Punjab had banned celebrations at indoor wedding halls in the four districts from August 8 a few days ago. But now, it gave one day to relax in it.
