An oil tanker overturned on the National Highway near Rain Shakh in Nawabshah town of Sindh on Sunday.

According to the 24News HD TV channel, the oil tanker was fully loaded and after turning over, the highway has been closed for traffic.

The oil spread over the road and the national highway police started a rescue operation.

But, due to lack of proper machinery for removing the tanker from the road, the highway teams failed to restore traffic there.

The tanker was moving from Karachi to Rawalpindi and the accident was occurred by the driver’s deprivation of sleep.

Thousands of litres of petrol flowed from the tanker.
