Fazl asks Opp lawmakers to submit resignations to party chiefs by Dec 31

Rules out any dialogue with the government | Says PDM Lahore rally would be held at Minar-e-Pakistan

Pakistan Democratic Movement Chairman Maulana Fazlur Rehman on Tuesday ruled out any dialogue with the government. He said that all the opposition parliamentarians would submit their resignations to their parliamentary leaders until December 31.

Maulana Fazl was talking to media after a PDM meeting held in Islamabad. PML-N Vice President Maryam Nawaz Sharif, PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, ANP leader Mian Iftikhar Hussain and other PDM leadership was also present on the occasion.

Maulana Fazl said that PDM Lahore rally would be held at Minar-e-Pakistan on December 13. He said it would prove last nail in government’s coffin. He said that the PDM leadership decided not to hold dialogue with the government. 

He said that PDM steering committee would be held tomorrow to discuss wheel-jam strike across the country. It would also discuss Islamabad sit-in plan. He said that all the opposition parliamentarians including provincial assemblies, national assembly and Senate would submit their resignations to their parliamentary leaders. He said that it was decided that resignations would not be taken back. 

Earlier, the JUI-F took a major step as all its members of the Senate and the National Assembly have handed over their resignations to party chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Tuesday.

The JUI-F has 14 legislators in the National Assembly and four in the Senate. The party has also directed its members in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan assemblies to be ready to submit their resignations.
