Earthquake tremors were felt in Karachi — the provincial capital of Sindh — on Wednesday, according to Pakistan’s National Seismic Monitoring Centre.

According to 24NewsHD TV channel, the tremors were felt in the city's Gulshan-e-Iqbal, Gulistan-e-Jauhar, Malir Cantt, Scheme 33, Gulshan-e-Hadeed, Gadap and II Chundrigar areas.

According to Pakistan’s National Seismic Monitoring Centre, the magnitude of the earthquake on the Richter Scale was 4.1 and its epicentre was 15km towards the north from the Defence area. The depth of the earthquake was also 15km.
