Though there are financial difficulties for other districts of Punjab another fund of Rs6.26 billion has been released to Chief Minister Pervaiz Elahi’s native district Gujrat.
According to the 24News HD TV channel, the Planning and Development (P&D) Board on Thursday released the said funds for development projects in the Gujrat district.
The channel report said the P&D Board released these funds for the road sector, municipal and other sector schemes in the district of Gujarat.
As per the report, Gujrat is the only district of Punjab which has received a total of Rs27 billion in the current financial year for the completion of development projects.
So now, the district of Gujrat has become the only district of the province of Punjab with the highest budget.
It is also worth mentioning here that projects worth 83 billion rupees have also been approved in the current financial year.
