In an extreme example of love and affection, a woman donated a portion of her liver to her ailing husband in Khairpur city, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Tuesday.

A woman, Hajani, created a never-ending instance of love when she didn’t flinch a bit when it came to save her husband Muhammad Noor’s life and she happily donated her liver to her husband so that he could lead a healthy life after the organ transplant.

The couple hails from Bhitshah and the successful transplant was conducted at Gambat Liver Transplant Center in Khairpur.

While talking to the media, Hajani said that she was feeling blessed and very happy after giving a piece of her organ to her husband. She said that her spouse was everything to her, he was her entire world and she loved him dearly.

She said they were married for 12 years but were deprived of the blessing of children.

Doctors at Gambat Hospital also expressed their joy at the successful transplant and great example of love.

The specific part of the liver donated depends on the size of the donor liver and the needs of the recipient. Next, surgeons remove the diseased liver and place the donated liver portion in the recipient's body, connecting the blood vessels and bile ducts to the new liver, which automatically grows fully.
