A consumer court in Karachi gave last chance to an online meat shop owner to reply in a fraud case, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

A consumer court in Karachi on Friday issued the last notice to the owner of Lal Meat and Halal, an online meat shop, to respond to the allegation of fraud levelled against him by a citizen.

In his petition filed in the Consumer Protection Court East Karachi, Atif, the complainant, had said that due to coronavirus fears at the time of Eidul Azha last year he decided to buy a sheep and a share in cow’s meat online.  “I even paid Rs43,500 to the shop owner for that, but when the big day arrived neither I got the meat nor the sheep.”

The petitioner had prayed to the court that since Lal Meat and Halal had dodged him, a fine of around Rs0.1 million be slapped on its owner.
