At least 6 children were killed and 2 others were injured when the mud debris fell on them in Basti Kalwar Rahimabad of Sadiqabad.

According to the 24News HD TV channel, Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Bazdar expressed regret over the incident and sought a report from Bahawalpur Commissioner.

The locals said around 10 children of different ages were playing in a mud pit near their houses meanwhile the mud debris fell over them. Locals rescued the children and shifted to the local hospital.

Head of the Sadiqabad Hospital Syed Kazim Ali has confirmed that the dead bodies of 6 children were brought to the hospital. He also said that an injured child was also brought here to the hospital while another injured girl has been referred to Sheikh Zaid Hospital.

Punjab Chief Minister Usman Bazdar expresses sympathy and condolences to the bereaved family and is also directed to provide the best medical facilities to the injured children.
