Karachi Dairy Farmers Association has again announced a 10-rupee-per-litre increase in the price of milk. The milk is now available in Pakistan’ largest city at Rs120 per litre, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Wednesday.

Amid scorching heat and loadshedding, Karachities have now confronted with another bad news. President Dairy Farmers Shakir Gujjar announced to increase the price of milk by Rs330 per 40 litres from July 11. The milk will be sold at Rs120 per litre.

Chairman Consumer Association Kokab Iqbal rejected the increase in milk price by dairy farmers and said dairy farmers are causing more hardship to the citizens who are already suffering from skyrocketing inflation.

According to 24NewsHD TV channel, the official price of milk in Karachi is fixed at Rs94 per litre but it is already being sold at Rs110 per litre.
