The probe bodies have released a joint certificate of the tragic incident of Millat Express, believing that the bogies of the train were derailed due to the breakage of rail track, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

The joint certificate which was released on Tuesday was submitted to the Railways Headquarters, Lahore. 

The certificate declared the derailment of bogies the main reason for the accident and further stated that the derailment was caused due to rupture of train track. It also declared that it was a fresh breakage that led to the derailment.

The preliminary investigation report would be prepared in the light of the findings of the joint certificate. The Federal Government Inspector of Railways (FGIR) will make a preliminary probe report.

However, the Permanent Way Inspector (PWI), who is responsible for the condition of railway tracks and associated embankments, has rejected the findings of the joint certificate. He pointed to another reason. He said the derailment was caused due to the dislodging of the clip that joins bogies together. 

Railways Minister Azam Swati while talking to the media also confessed that railways authorities were responsible for the tragic incident at Daharki station. He further said that the Sukkur division track was very dangerous. Three days ago, DS Railways Sukkur informed that he could not run trains on this track, he said. 

The minister said that he smelled foul and reckoned that some kind of mafia was active in the Railways. He said he himself would conduct a probe into such allegations.

However, Special Assistant to CM Punjab for Information Firdous Ashiq Awan made a very comic statement on the Monday rail tragedy. She said thank God, this was the first train accident of the year. 

But after a bit, maybe she realized her slip of tongue, Ms Awan further stated that those responsible for the tragedy would not be forgiven.
