Saudi Arabia extends validity of Iqama for expats stranded by Covid travel restrictions

There is good news for Saudi Arabian Iqama holders as the Kingdom has extended the validity of Iqamas off all those expatriates who could not fly to the Kingdom due to the current travel ban imposed on their home countries, reported 24NewsHD TV channel Tuesday.

According to details, King Salman Bin Abdul Aziz has issued a decree according to which the validity of Iqama and the leave period has been extended till July 31 without any charge for all those Iqma holders who could not reach Saudi Arabia due to the travel ban on their countries imposed by the Kingdom.

Moreover, the Kingdom has also extended validity of the visit visas.

Saudi Passport Department has already implemented the royal decree in this regard.

However, it has not been decided yet that when Saudi Arabia will restore the flight operation for these countries in red list that also includes Pakistan.
