The Islamabad High Court (IHC) has raised objections to the petition submitted by PTI Chairman and former prime minister Imran Khan seeking virtual hearing of all the cases filed against him, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

The IHC Registrar Office raised three objections on Imran Khan’s plea, saying the application was lacking elaboration; secondly, how can a plea seeking virtual hearing of all cases pending in courts throughout Pakistan be filed in IHC, and thirdly, how can the plea maintainable without first moving the trial court?

Earlir on Wednesday, Imran Khan through Faisal Fareed Chaudhry Advocate filed a petition in the Islamabad High Court (IHC), seeking court order for hearing of his all cases in Islamabad courts via a video link. 

In his petition, the PTI chairman said that in case such an arrangement could not be made, then the hearing of all his cases should be transferred to the judicial complex in Islamabad. 

It was further stated in the petition that hearing of other cases had to be suspended as security had to be beefed up ahead of the petitioner’s appearance in Islamabad courts.  

The PTI chairman also sought a court order to the federal capital police to provide him full security at the time of his appearance in courts.

The petitioner also sought security while he is travelling from Lahore to Islamabad via motorway to attend hearings of his cases.
