On International Women's Day, Pakistan's internationally renowned Kathak dancer Sheema Kermani Wednesday announced that the 6th Aurat March will be held in Karachi on coming Sunday, March 12.
According to the 24News HD TV channel, the founder of the Aurat March Sheema Kermani made this announcement in a press conference held at Karachi Press Club on Wednesday.
The representative of the eunuch community Princess Rai, the Hindu community's representative Najma Mahesh, the representative of the affectees of the Gujjar Nala Ms Maria and women representatives of other communities were present at the press conference.
Addressing the media, Sheema Kermani said women from all walks of life were with them and they have a demand to the government to reduce inflation and to give rights to women.
Sheema Kermani said the sixth women's march would be held on March 12 in which they will march for their rights.
Talking to the media, Hindu community representative Najma Mahesh demanded to be given rights as a Pakistani while Princess Rai, a representative of the transgender community said that they have many problems, but the main problem is identity.
At the conference, women raised slogans against inflation and demanded protection of the rights of the transgender community.
